Organizations are often too busy with their day-to-day operations to be mindful of the influence local ordinances, regulatory rules, or state and federal laws may have on their ability to fully live their purpose. Further, organizations may not have the time, comfort level, knowledge or inclination to engage with the appropriate and necessary policy makers when change is needed or new policy is up for debate.
At some point, public advocacy will be needed for any team wishing to stand the test of time with an enduring mission. MMC works with teams on a number of levels from basic advocacy education to direct consultation and communication assistance with policy makers.

People have information flying at them in so many directions today, it is crucial that key communication is articulate and effective the first time. Most teams are good at communicating about what they do best and sharing good news; but when difficult communication is necessary most avoid, delay, or sugar-coat messaging which leads to more problems down the road.
MMC adopts the voice of the organization, producing effective communication to internal or external stakeholders when the pressure is on to share important – and perhaps difficult – information. Working relationship for stakeholder communication can be short-term as needed or a long-term commitment.
